WASU

Transferring to so many different schools as allowed me to become not only adaptable but able to become apart of amazing organizations that continue to teach me different life-skills in general and within the industry that I long to be apart of. One of the organization's I have been lucky enough to join at Appalachian State University is their college radio station WASU. Not only does WASU have an amazing general manager that has been within the industry and strives to teach us all of his knowledge about the industry, it also allows students to be able to DJ on the radio and work in staff positions just as we would within the industry.

Anyone who goes to ASU and has an interest within the Electronic Media industry and learning about the radio industry specifically should attend the interest meeting tomorrow night (Feb 2, 2012) at 7 pm in the table rock room of the student union.

WASU is one of the most well known college radio stations and has recently been added to iHeartradio along with 13 other college radio stations. I am so glad to finally be at a university that has such a specific program and has professors and professionals to learn from.

Listen to me live on WASU on Wednesday's from 4-5 pm and Thursday's 5-6 pm every week. You can long on to wasurocks.com and listen live!

Lastly, I just want to thank my parents for always being supportive and supporting me in all the dreams I have every had and will have in the future. Not everyone can be that lucky.
